Aldeia Da Pedralva offers 26 cottages and country houses, all being fully restored according to their original features. All houses have all the amenities you need for a comfortable stay and have a fully equipped kitchenette, living room, and dining area. With either one, two, or three bedrooms, they can accommodate up to 8 people.

Aldeia da Pedralva is set in a tiny, remote village in the southwestern corner of Portugal, 20 minutes drive from Amada Beach on the Atlantic coast. At Amada Beach you can surf or hike a beautiful part of the coastal walk, Fisherman' Trail. We stayed in a quaint and quiet corner house called Furnas with two bedrooms.

The new Aldeia da Pedralva was born in 2010, with twenty-four completely renovated one, two and three-bedrooms cottages. As you'd expect, each property is unique, but thanks to their traditional decor they all share a homely, comfortable atmosphere.

Aldeia da Pedralva is more than just a hotel. It's an actual village hidden away among the wildflowers and beaches of Portugal's Vicentina Coast. The owner Antonio Ferreira was looking for a career change and when he stumbled upon Pedralva village (at the time no more than a pizza place and abandoned, dilapidated houses) he began to buy them up and rebuild them.

It's the brainchild of Antonio Ferreira who was looking for a different type of place that met his lofty requirements for an eco resort.

The Village of Pedralva was a village dedicated to farming for many years until it went into a depopulation process in the last 30 years.In 2006 it was a set of ruins with 9 inhabitants. After a long process to purchase the houses in the village from a group of about 200 people, it was possible to start the reconstruction process, as close to the original as possible.

The village is in a valley and a short drive from the towns of Vila da Bispo and Sagres. There are numerous deserted sandy beaches along the coast and several paths for walking/biking. Our cottage was cosy and well equipped.
